Usage Guide
Zunavi Ad Exchange should be fairly simple to use, but most people have trouble getting started by themselves so here is a quick guide to set up
the ad exchange on your own blog or website.
It is important to know the two key features of the ad exchange to understand the workings of it:
- Ad Units
- Ad Units are snippets of code that can be added to a website to show advertisements. When you create an
ad unit, you can set a few settings to specify which kinds of advertisements you want to display on the website where you put the code. Usually this
code will be added to the inside of a widget box in a blog so that the advertisement can be shown at every article in the blog, but the code can be
added to anywhere in a website.
- Ads
- Ads or Advertisements are pictures or text that advertises for a website. When creating an ad in Zunavi Ad Exchange, you must upload a picture
that can be shown inside ad units on other peoples websites. You must also enter a link to a website. If someone clicks the picture, they will
go to this link. So it is most common to put in a link to your own blog or website that you want people to see.
Setting up an Ad Unit
To get started with the Zunavi Ad Exchange, you should first create an Ad Unit to show other peoples Ads in. This is necessary to
earn credits. Whenever someone sees or clicks on an ad from your ad unit, you gain credits from the owner of that ad. If you want
to create an ad for your website and have it shown on other peoples blogs or websites, you need credits to pay them!
Click Get A New Ad Unit and enter a name and a description. Other people can see
the name of your Ad Unit, so you should put something practical in there. For an example you could use your blogs name as the name for
the Ad Unit. In the description field, you can enter anything. If you have a website and put the ad unit on your front page, you could
enter "front page" in the description field. You could also enter "I love airplanes!!!" if you want to. Further down, there is Ad Type and
Search Method. You don't need to set these, but later they could be usefull if you want to show a certain kind of advertisement and earn
credits faster.

When you submit to get your new Ad Unit, you will see this page. Here, you can change settings and block Ads from being shown in the
ad unit. In the top there is a box with code. You can Copy this code and Paste it to your blog or website to put the ad unit there. Do this and check
out your blog or website if it's working. You can tell it is, if a picture comes up in the place where you put the codes.

Here I entered the code into a HTML/Javascript gadget on blogger.com.
Notice that on some websites, it might not be that easy to add javascript to a
widget or gadget. In Wordpress, you have to design a theme or use a special
widget to get around this.

Here is the result. An advertisement for Boonbot.com showed up. Next time it
might be your Ad.
Uploading and setting up an Ad
So, if you have got your Ad Unit to work now, you will start getting credits. To use these, you can create an Ad. This is done
by uploading a picture and couple it with an URL adress to your blog or website. Use Paint or Photoshop or another image editing program to make
a picture that is 125px * 125px big. You should put some text in the picture that says something about the site you advertise for. This will make
it easier for people to see it is an Ad and they will probably feel more like clicking on it and visiting your blog or website if they know
what it is.
When you have a picture (an Ad Banner), click on Upload A New Ad. URL is the adress of
your blog or website. This is used to make the link. If you enter this wrong, people won't get to your site when they click your ad!

You can find out the URL of your blog by visiting it and look in the top of the browser window. There will be a text in the field where you enter
web adresses. Copy this text and Paste it in the URL-box.

Name and Description is just like for Ad Units. Display Type decides on what type of Ad you make. In this case, select 125*125
Image. If you select a different size, then you should make a different picture for your ad to match in size.
Click the "Choose File" button next to "Image" to select the picture you created and upload it to Zunavi Ad Exchange.
And finally: You can set the way for the Ad to be displayed. You don't need to change any settings here unless you want to show your ad on
a special type of blogs or websites. Click "Submit" and you will go to this page:

Here you can change the settings of the Ad and most importantly: Add credits to the Ad. If you have any credits, you can enter an amount to
pay for the Ad to be shown in Ad Units and click "Add" to do so. You can see on this page that my ad already has some credits ready to
spend. It has 8.53 credits and will get another 0.05 if I click the button. It's not much, but this was all I had at this time.
On this page you can also see other things such as how many "hits" your ad has. (This number is for how many times it has been shown.) You can
see how many clicks it got. In the parantheses, it is shown how many credits have been paid to other people for showing your Ad.
So that's it for this guide. Hopefully this has helped you to get started with Zunavi Ad Exchange.
